Walch Education Develops Six New Math Resources for Texas Educators
Portland, ME (PRWEB) March 12, 2011
Walch Education, a leading developer and publisher of secondary educational materials, is announcing the release of six new products assembled for Texas Educators: Station Activities for Texas Mathematics Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8 and Station Activities for Texas Geometry, Algebra I and Algebra II.
Extensive teacher support is included with discussion guides that prompt reflection and synthesis of ideas, a listing of common errors, answer keys and material lists. Correlations to the Texas Essential Skills and Knowledge (TEKS) are also included.
According to Jill Rosenblum, Walch Education’s Vice President of Education, “Station-based activities give students multiple opportunities to develop their understanding. At the same time, they give teachers the chance to circulate, do informal assessments, and provide individual or small-group instruction as needed.”
The Station Activities series is part of our first wave of materials for Texas middle school educators. “Over the next few months we will be launching additional printed and digital materials including an Algebra I EOC App for the iPod Touch and iPad, deeply aligned to the TEKS and supporting state educational priorities,” said Al Noyes, Walch Education’s President. “We are grateful for the guidance our Texas partners have provided, and are exciting to be a part of Texas’ high-performing system.”
